Just Another Book?

Just Another Book?

Where is your Bible located? Is it in a prominent place, laying open to a favorite verse? Is it tucked away on a shelf, sandwiched between other books? Do you know where your Bible is?

Throughout the centuries Christians have been called “the people of the Book”, and for good reason. We stake our lives today and forever on what we read about Jesus Christ in the Bible.

Ironically, for all we talk about the Bible and how important it is to us, so many of us don’t read it much. For some, we’re just too busy. For others, it’s too hard to understand. And for still others, the Bible doesn’t seem very relevant to the life we are living in 2026. Whatever the reason may be for not regularly reading the Bible, it’s not a good reason. We just have too much to lose by leaving this book closed. The Bible, if what it claims to be is true, is the very Word of God to the human race. It is God making himself known to his creatures. But more than that, the message of the Bible is the most incredible and powerful love story ever recorded.

For the next several weeks we’re going to be studying how we can get more out of the Bible on a daily basis. In one of the Psalms a man wrote, “Your words are a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 Join us this Sunday morning for our worship service. Let the light only God can provide shine in your life!
