The Last Piece of the Puzzle

The Last Piece of the Puzzle

Poets have written that the days of our lives are like pieces of a puzzle which all fit together to form the mosaic of a human life. For many of us, that emerging mosaic can often seem confusing. And we struggle with God over this issue. We say that we believe that he is ordering everything according to his good and perfect plan but so much of what happens in our lives certainly does not seem to be good or beneficial. So, we begin to doubt. Is God really in control of everything? Does he even care?

The problem may be that we are imposing our view of what should happen in our lives on God. We think “our will” needs to be “his will”. But that just isn’t going to happen nor should it. God’s eternal nature gives him an understanding not only of each of our individual lives but also all human history which goes beyond anything we can fathom. Even when our lives or what’s happening in the world around us doesn’t make sense, God knows what he is doing, and he knows what is best.

Before Jesus ascended into heaven he gave his disciples the last piece of the Divine Puzzle for humanity. The incredible thing is, he gives us an opportunity to be a part of putting that piece into its place. If you want to be part of something which is going to last a very long time, join us for our Sunday morning worship service!
