What Would You Do?

What Would You Do?

What would you do if you saw someone struggling for their life? Would you help or would you first consider the risk of helping.  Would you help someone if the cost was your own life? These are difficult questions which reveal what is most important to us. We like to believe we are loving people, committed to the well-being of others. But when that commitment involves significant sacrifice, that impacts our thinking. And will the other person appreciate our sacrifice? That too plays into our decision-making.

God looked at his creation. Though his precious people were made to live with him in a loving relationship, we had rejected him. Yet, he did not count the cost. He did what only he could do to come to our rescue. That’s what the cross of Jesus Christ is all about.

But God shows his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

God didn’t hold back anything to bring you back to him. Can we hold anything back in our worship of his sacrifice?

Join us tomorrow evening for our Good Friday worship service at 7:00 pm.
